Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Monday December 1, 2008
oatmeal raisin cookies recipeThe secret ingredient in these Oatmeal Raisin Cookies is dark brown sugar. Okay, that's not really much of a secret. But dark brown sugar has more molasses than light brown sugar, and it makes the cookies moist and chewy. I like to eat these cookies right out of the oven (honestly, aren't all cookies best right out of the oven?). But if you're baking these for Christmas cookies, you can certainly freeze them. Just store in layers, separated by waxed paper, in an airtight container.
