I started making smoothies about 10 years ago when my oldest was little. It was a way for me to ensure we all got the vitamins and minerals we needed at least at one meal. I have since discovered a lot about smoothies - the health benefits, the perfect formula for making them, what to add to them to make them more flavorful and more nutritious, whether or not it's worth it to buy a smoothie blender and much more.
