Bagged lettuce is so popular and convenient nowadays you probably don't even remember a time when it wasn't on supermarket shelves. But there's no reason you have to be limited to a basic salad. Bagged lettuce can be a starting point for a whole host of meals. And the best part is these salads are perfect for summer time, and they don't require a lot of work to make.Just one word of safety: When you're using bagged lettuces, make sure you wash the lettuce thoroughly. That's true even if it says triple washed. The reason is that bacteria can multiply in the moist environment of a plastic bag very easily, maybe even more easily than on the surface of a whole head of lettuce.
