There is no better way to enjoy fresh-picked strawberries (well, other than eating them by the handful) than with this sweet, juicy and refreshingly-fruity chocolate strawberry shortcake. The chocolate biscuit is a definite upgrade (especially for those of us who love the dark stuff) from the sometimes boring biscuits you'll normally find with strawberry shortcake. Of course, this recipe is an excellent backdrop for fresh-from-the-farm strawberries. But if you can't get to a farm, it's okay. Supermarket strawberries will be just as good.
Serve with homemade whipped cream..
