There's something that happens to me around the time that school starts. I start craving apples - crisp, juicy apples like Fujis and Honeycrisps, tart apples like Granny Smiths, apples of all kinds. Now normally, this results in a trip to a local farm where I stock up on all the best local apples to eat and enjoy in all sorts of recipes.
