I recently had a friend from another country ask me what Labor Day was all about. She imagined a holiday celebrating unions or marches or both, sort of like a scene from Norma Rae. When I explained that to me, Labor Day means the end of wearing white and burgers, she was shocked. What can I say? We're American.
If you, like me, are spending Labor Day throwing a cookout, these burger topping and recipe ideas may come in handy. I take you well beyond American cheese with fun and easy ideas, like Asian burgers with hoisin sauce and green onions, cowboy burgers with bacon, baked beans and cheddar cheese and more.
