Apple desserts don't get much easier than this apple crisp recipe. It's a wonderful treat to make with the kids, because it isn't complicated. And you can use just about any cooking apple you happen to have on hand for this recipe. I like to take the kids apple-picking and use the Golden Delicious or McIntoshes for this apple crisp. The topping is a brown sugar streusel with walnuts and oats. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top.
