Peanut Butter Desserts

From the first time I bit into a soft, chewy peanut butter cookie when I was a kid, I was hooked on peanut butter desserts. There was something about the sweet creaminess of the peanut butter in a cookie that took me by surprise. Until then, I had only had peanut butter on a sandwich, crackers, apples or carrot sticks. But the sweetness of the cookie just enhanced the rich flavor of the peanut butter in a way that make me crave the stuff.

Now, of course, I make all kinds of peanut butter desserts, from classic peanut butter kiss cookies (perfect as a Christmas cookie) to soft and chewy peanut butter brownies, studded with chocolate chips to an easy homemade peanut butter frozen yogurt that rivals any you'd find in a fancy ice cream shop.
