Soup is what I crave when it's cold outside, whenever I've had a bad day or when I'm feeling under the weather. So naturally, when the kids start to get the sniffles, I immediately make soup. These healthy soup recipes will warm them from the inside out, and give them plenty of vitamins, minerals, fiber, antioxidants and protein, too.Take my Crock Pot split pea soup. It is loaded with fiber and good-for-you vegetables and whole grains. But it is so soothing and hearty, too.
For a pick-me-up when you're feeling a cold coming on, try my chicken noodle soup. My grandfather always told me it was Jewish penicillin, and there have been studies to prove its effectiveness in lessening the symptoms of the common cold. But I didn't need a study to tell me that!
Try all of these recipes, and be sure to post reviews.
