I started making this Christmas salad a few years ago on Christmas Eve when I went to a friend's Christmas party and was asked to bring the salad. The panettone is a sweet Italian bread that is typically only available around the holidays. It is usually made with dried fruit, but sometimes it is made with chocolate chips. You want the dried fruit panettone for this recipe.The green lettuce and red grapes make this salad a festive favorite for Christmas. And of course, the flavor combination is exceptional. Everybody always asks for the recipe when I make this salad.
