- Unbaked batter for vanilla cupcakes. You can use a cupcake mix, or make your own homemade cupcakes with my tender vanilla cupcakes recipe or my moist vanilla cupcake recipe (both are delicious)
- Buttercream frosting, cream cheese frosting or store-bought white frosting
- Red and blue food coloring
- Fresh blueberries (frozen won't work - they get too runny)
The first step to making these red, white and blue patriotic cupcakes is tinting the batter. Follow the recipe directions for making the cupcake batter. Now, divide the batter equally into three bowls.
