Choco Cherry Berry Fruit Smoothies

This fruit smoothie recipe reminds me of chocolate-covered cherries. Nutella provides the rich chocolatey flavor. Frozen cherries and blueberries add sweet juiciness, and vanilla soy milk and yogurt make this fruit smoothie creamy. Yum!

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 cups unsweetened frozen cherries (pitted)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened frozen blueberries
  • 1 Tbsp. chocolate hazelnut spread (such as Nutella)
  • 1 Tbsp. frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 1-1/2 cups vanilla soy milk
  • 1/2 cup low-fat or non-fat vanilla yogurt

Preparation:

  1. Place cherries and blueberries in a blender, Vita Mix or food processor.

  2. Add remaining ingredients in order listed. Secure lid and puree until smooth. If using a regular blender, and the frozen fruit gets stuck, turn the machine off. Use a spoon to push the fruit down into the blades, replace the cover, and puree.
Serve immediately.

Makes 3 servings.
