Homemade Lemonade

Why not make homemade lemonade instead of powdered or frozen the next time the kids want to have a lemonade stand? With this recipe for lemonade, it's fast and easy. The kids can even make this easy lemonade recipe themselves!

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 6-8 lemons
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 cups cold water
  • strawberries, fresh mint or watermelon chunks for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Cut lemons in half. If using a reamer or your hands, juice lemons over a sieve to remove pulp and seeds. If using a juicer, simply juice the lemons. You will need 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.

  2. Pour lemon juice into a large pitcher.

  3. Add sugar and 1 cup of the cold water. Mix well, until sugar crystals disappear. Stir in remaining water.
Serve cold, garnished with fresh mint sprigs, watermelon chunks or strawberries.
