When I first taught my kids how to make a strawberry milkshake, they were amazed how easy it is. Now they can do it all by themselves. They key is to use perfectly ripe strawberries (they will give your milkshake the sweetest flavor) and good-quality all-natural ice cream.

- 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup milk
- ice (optional)
- Place strawberries and brown sugar in a VitaMix blender (compare prices) or regular blender. Puree until smooth.
- Add remaining ice cream and milk. Pulse until frothy. If necessary, add a few ice cubes to make the milkshake frothy.
