Cream Cheese Swirled Brownies

These cream cheese brownies are a favorite at bake sales and potlucks. The cream cheese swirl gives these brownies an elegant look, but this recipe is quite easy.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 40 minutes

Total Time: 55 minutes


  • 1 19.8 oz. brownie mix
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 large eggs
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tsp. vanilla


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9 x 13 baking dish.

  2. With a wooden spoon or spatula, beat brownie mix, oil, water and eggs together until smooth. In a separate bowl, beat remaining ingredients with an electric mixer until smooth.

  3. Spread two-thirds of the brownie batter into prepared pan. Spread cream cheese mixture over top. Drop remaining brownie batter over cream cheese filling - don't worry if it doesn't cover the cream cheese layer. With a knife, swirl the cream cheese filling and brownie batter together.

  4. Bake 38-45 minutes.
Makes 36 cream cheese brownies.
