Chewy chocolate chip cookies are the best kind of chocolate chip cookies in my book. These chocolate chip cookies get their chewy texture from an unlikely source: sweetened condensed milk. Walnuts add a nice contrasting texture and flavor to these chewy chocolate chip cookies.

Yield: 28-36 cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup butter, softened to room temperature
- 1-1/2 cups crushed graham crackers
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1-1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with a silpat mat (Compare Prices).
- In a large mixing bowl, beat sweetened condensed milk and butter with an electric mixture until smooth.
- Stir in crushed graham crackers, flour and baking powder until combined.
- Add remaining ingredients. Drop by rounded tablespoonsful onto prepared cookie sheet. Bake 8-12 minutes until light golden brown around the edges.
- Remove chocolate chip cookies to a wire rack to cook.
