Chocolate Brownies
Chocolate brownies (click for larger image)are the perfect picnic dessert, bake sale treat or after-school snack. You can wrap these chocolate brownies in a tightly-sealed container and store them for several days. But if you have chocolate-lovers in the house, these brownies probably won't last that long!Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 oz. unsweetened baking chocolate
- 1-1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8-inch or 9-inch square baking pan. Or spray a Baker's Edge Brownie Pan with cooking spray.
- Place butter and chocolate in a microwave-safe dish. Heat 1 minute on 50% power. Stir. Repeat, heating in 30-second increments on 50% power, until chocolate is melted.
- Let cool.
- Beat sugar, vanilla and eggs together. Add chocolate mixture.
- Beat in flour until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Pour into prepared pan. Bake 22-30 minutes (cooking time will be less if you use the Baker's Edge pan).
