Chocolate Chip Pie Recipe

If you like chocolate chip cookies, you will adore this chocolate chip pie. Similar to a Kentucky bourbon pie, this chocolate pecan pie recipe is intensely sweet and best served when hot. A scoop of vanilla ice cream is the perfect topping for this chocolate chip pecan pie.

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbsp. bourbon (optional)
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (or semisweet chocolate chips)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 9-inch deep dish pie crust, unbaked (if frozen, thawed according to package directions)

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Beat eggs and sugar together until smooth.

  3. Beat in butter, flour and bourbon.

  4. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Pour into crust.

  5. Bake 35-45 minutes until the pie is browned on top and set around the edges. The center will still be jiggly.

  6. Let cool at least 15 minutes before serving.
