Chocolate Pecan Bar Cookies
Bar cookies are the perfect dessert when you want something different from a brownie or a cookie. These chocolate pecan cookie bars have a rich chocolate flavor, and are accented with pecans and coconut. These bar cookies make excellent bake sale treats.Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 40 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1-1/2 cups crushed graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips
- 1 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup regular semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup shredded flaked coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with cooking spray.
- Place butter in a microwave-safe bowl and heat on medium 1 minute or until melted.
- Stir graham cracker crumbs and miniature chocolate chips into butter.
- Spread evenly on bottom of prepared pan. Set aside.
- Place sweetened condensed milk and chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on high 1 minute. Stir. If chocolate chips are not melted, heat another 30 seconds on high and repeat until melted.
- Pour over graham cracker layer.
- Scatter flaked coconut evenly over chocolate layer.
- Top with pecans
- Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden on top and set.
