Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Peanut butter not only adds flavor to this chocolate chip cookie recipe, it also makes these chocolate chip cookies soft and chewy. I like to use dark chocolate chips for these peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 12 minutes
Ingredients:
- 8 Tbsp. butter
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 3/4 cup firmly-packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1-1/2 cups dark or semisweet chocolate chips
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper or a Silpat mat.
- Place butter in a microwave-safe container. Heat on 50% power for one minute. Repeat, until melted. Set aside to cool.
- Meanwhile, whisk together flour, baking powder and salt.
- With an electric mixer, beat cooled butter with peanut butter and sugars.
- Beat in egg and egg yolk. Add vanilla, beating well.
- Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonsful onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake 12-15 minutes or until set.
