S'mores

Stephanie Gallagher
Smores are everybody's favorite campfire food. They taste like summer to me. And with only three ingredients, it's a simple dessert - easy enough for the kids to make (just be sure to help them with toasting the marshmallows). If you're feeling ambitious, try this s'mores recipe with homemade marshmallows (make the marshmallows a day in advance).

  • 8 graham crackers
  • 4 chocolate bars

  1. Break graham crackers in half.

  2. Top eight of the graham cracker halves with half of a chocolate bar.

  3. Toast marshmallows over an open fire or grill.

  4. Place toasted marshmallows on top of chocolate bar halves and immediately top with remaining graham cracker halves.

  5. Squish to allow the chocolate to melt from the warmth of the toasted marshmallows. Let the s'mores sit for a few minutes to allow the chocolate to melt. Enjoy!
