Crockpot Flank Steak

Stephanie Gallagher
Flank steak can be a tough cut of meat. With this Crockpot flank steak recipe, the flank steak is seared first, then slow cooked in a flavorful marinade. The result is a tender steak with a crust and a juicy interior.

Serve this flank steak with scalloped potatoes and grilled vegetables.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1-1/2 lb. flank steak
  • kosher salt and freshly-ground black pepper
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2/3 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. sweet red chili sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder

Preparation:

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Add flank steak. Sear until browned on both sides.

  3. Place sliced onion in the bottom of the Crockpot. Lay steak on top of the onions.

  4. Whisk together the remaining ingredients. Pour over the flank steak. Cook on low 8 hours or high 3-4 hours.
