Add a Few Drops of a New Color to the Eggs

Now add a few drops of a new color of food coloring to the eggs in the colander. Again, very gently, jiggle the colander so the eggs gently touch each other and spread the color all around.

Rinse the eggs with cold water.

Repeat the whole process with a third color.
