This Southern peach cobbler recipe is a classic summer dessert, made with fresh peaches, brown sugar, cinnamon and a biscuit topping. I like to make this cobbler recipe in a 9 x 9 baking dish, but if you want to make individual peach cobblers, you can make this recipe in ramekins. Just cut the baking time in half.

Ingredients:
- Peach Cobbler Filling:
- 6-8 large peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- Peach Cobbler Topping:
- 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3-4 Tbsp. sugar (depending on how sweet you want your peach cobbler to be)
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 6 Tbsp. cold butter, cut into small chunks
- 1 large egg
- 3 Tbsp. milk
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a 9" x 9" baking dish.
- In a large bowl, stir peaches, brown sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon together. Pour into prepared baking dish. Bake 20 minutes.
- While the peach filling is baking, prepare the cobbler topping: Stir flour, sugar, baking powder and cinnamon together.
- With a pastry blender or your fingers, cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Whisk egg and milk together. Stir into cobbler topping until moistened.
- Drop the cobbler topping over the peach filling in mounds. Bake the peach cobbler 20-25 minutes, until topping is golden brown and peaches are bubbly.
