Now it's time to add the dry ingredients. It's very important to measure the flour properly. Otherwise, you will add more flour than necessary, resulting in a tough bread.

Using a spoon, scoop the flour into a measuring cup. You will need a measuring cup for dry ingredients, not a measuring cup with a spout, which is for liquid ingredients.

Now level off the flour with a knife.
