Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

This peanut butter pie recipe is dense and rich. A perfect peanut butter pie for people who like peanut butter cups. If you like this chocolate peanut butter pie recipe, check out my peanut butter cup cookies.

Cook Time: 2 hours

Total Time: 2 hours, 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup plus 2 Tbsp. light cream
  • 10 oz. semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 9-inch graham cracker crust
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 4 Tbsp. butter, cut into small pieces
  • 3/4 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation:

  1. Start with the chocolate layer of your peanut butter pie: Place 1/3 cup cream in a microwave-safe container. Heat on high in 30-second increments until bubbles form around the edges, but cream is not boiling.

  2. Add chocolate chips to cream. Stir until chips are melted and smooth.

  3. Pour one-third of the chocolate mixture into the bottom of the graham cracker crust. Freeze 30 minutes.

  4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  5. Make the filling of your peanut butter pie: Place peanut butter and butter in the work bowl of a food processor, fitted with a metal blade. Pulse until smooth.

  6. Add confectioner's sugar, vanilla and 2 Tbsp. of the cream. Puree until smooth.

  7. Spread peanut butter filling over chocolate layer. Bake 10 minutes.

  8. Stir chocolate. Pour over peanut butter layer. Refrigerate 1-1/2 hrs. until firm.
