Bok Choy Recipe

This bok choy recipe has a little kick to it, but it is not so overwhelming as to turn off young palates. Serve this bok choy recipe with Asian fried salmon patties and Crockpot rice.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Tbsp. peanut oil
  • 1 lb. bok choy
  • 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. hoisin sauce
  • a few drops hot sauce, to taste

Preparation:

  1. Heat peanut oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Wash bok choy. Separate leaves and stems. Chop each into bite-sized pieces. Stir fry stems for 2-3 minutes.

  3. Add bok chok leaves and garlic. Stir-fry another 1-2 minutes.

  4. Add soy sauce, hoisin sauce and a few drops of hot sauce. Stir-fry another 1-2 minutes until bok choy is crisp tender. Taste, and add more hot sauce if desired.
