Roasted Brussels Sprouts

There's really no reason kids should dislike Brussels sprouts more than any other vegetable. I'm convinced it's all about the preparation. With this recipe, Brussels sprouts are roasted to bring out the natural sugars in the vegetable. A touch of honey finishes off this tasty side dish.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 lbs. fresh Brussels sprouts
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1 Tbsp. honey

Preparation:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

  2. Trim ends off Brussels sprouts. Cut in half lengthwise.

  3. Toss with olive oil and kosher salt.

  4. Lay Brussels sprouts cut side down on a heavy baking sheet.

  5. Roast 15-20 minutes, until golden and browned on the bottom.

  6. Toss with honey.
Serve immediately.
