Do you ever see those neat sauces and jams in the supermarket and wonder what you could do with them? This carrots recipe is the answer. It uses caramelized onion jam or roasted garlic and onion jam. Although this recipe sounds fancy, the flavors are sweet and very kid-friendly.
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds carrots
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. caramelized onion jam or garlic onion jam
Preparation:
- Wash, peel and cut carrots into two inch chunks.
- Bring 6 cups of water to boil in a large pot.
- Add carrots. Cook until carrots are tender, but not mushy, 10 to 15 minutes.
- Drain. Toss carrots with butter and caramelized onion jam.
