One way to make vegetables like asparagus more appealing to kids is simply by making them taste good. In this brown sugar asparagus recipe, I do that by cooking the asparagus in a brown sugar and butter syrup. Mmmmm!

Ingredients:
- 1-1/2 to 2 lbs. fresh asparagus
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation:
- Wash asparagus and trim off woody ends. Cut into 2-inch chunks.
- Heat butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add brown sugar. Stir until dissolved.
- Add asparagus. Cook, stirring frequently, until asparagus is tender, 5-8 minutes.
