Steaming Vomit

I made the mistake of calling the pumpkin and raisin oatmeal I served one Halloween morning, "steaming vomit." My kids were horrified. None of it was eaten!

Worms in Dirt

I used to make this for my kids' class parties. Start with a clear plastic cup. Put a gummy worm in the bottom (they last better if they're chilled first). Fill cup with chocolate pudding. Crumble chocolate cookies on top. If you want, you can prop the worm against the side of the cup so that its little gummy head pokes out the top.

Fake blood

This isn't exactly something that you'd cook up and eat... but kids can make fake "blood" by getting... whatever colorless Karo syrup is called... and adding a few drops of red food coloring. Looks just like the real thing!
